Latest Genshin Impact Requirements Guide For Android, PC, iPhone, & Consoles

With the highly anticipated Nod-Krai map release, Genshin Impact requirements for PC, Android, PlayStation, iPhone, and consoles have been revised.

Looking at the visuals, we are quite sure now that the Nod Krai region will be more demanding in terms of graphics. That’s why I decided to create an updated blog covering what the updated Genshin Impact requirements are for Android, iPhone, consoles, laptops, and PC.

Updated Device Performance Requirements For Genshin Impact

Starting with the “Song of the Welkin Moon” chapter set, Genshin will be revising the updated Genshin Impact requirements for a variety of devices.

This is being done to ensure all the players get the best performance possible, while ensuring that devs are able to optimise the game easily. As the game expands with new reactions, characters, travel mechanics, and updated graphics, it’s becoming increasingly resource-intensive.

To ensure you get the best performance, Genshin has changed the minimum device requirements. I am sharing the updated device requirements below for all the platforms. I have also added the 2023 official Genshin specs requirements for your comparison.

Updated Minimum Genshin Impact PC Requirements

Most significant changes have been to the PC requirements when it comes to Genshin Impact. The game has changed the minimum CPU, Graphics, and OS requirements. Let’s discuss the changes point by point and how they affect end users like you and me.

  • CPU– From 4th Gen Intel i5 or equivalent platforms, Genshin has upped the minimum requirement to 6th Gen i5. For the best experience, ideal specs have remained the same.
  • Graphics– Previously, you could run Genshin with a discrete Intel UHD630 GPU, but now we need Intel Iris Xe or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 or equivalent. To crank up the graphics of the game to the maximum settings, the recommended graphics card/GPU requirement is still the same.
  • Operating System– If you are still running Windows 7 or 8.1 to play games, then you would need to upgrade to either Windows 10 or 11.

Genshin Impact System Requirements for Android Mobile Devices

I am a mobile-first Genshin Player who mains Chasca, so Android compatibility is very important for me. In August 2025, Genshin announced that they would be upping the minimum graphics, CPU, and operating system requirements.

  • Graphics– To play upcoming Genshin Regions, you need to have a baseline socs and GPU combination, which are Snapdragon 660 (Adreno 610) or Helio G88 (Mali‑G52) and above.
  • CPUs– In the processing department, only the recommended requirement for Kirin-based processors has been upped from Kirin 820 to Kirin 980 and above.
  • Operating System– Going forward, you would need Android 10 or above. For the best experience, you would need Android 12 or above.

Latest Genshin Impact Requirements for Apple iPhone and iPad

Previously, Genshin had standard requirements for iPhones and iPads. However, Apple’s lineup has become powerful with the advent of 3 GB RAM and 4 GB RAM variants. Overall, iOS is just like Android; it doesn’t have too many changes in the baseline specs requirements as well.

  • CPU– While you can still play Genshin on Apple A11 SoC or later but you would need Apple A12 SoC or above for iPad. For the best experience, dev recommends A13 or above.
  • RAM– With the introduction of 4GB RAM iPhone models, Apple’s best device for mobile gaming has changed. For peak Genshin Impact performance, you need a 4 GB RAM iPhone model and a minimum of 3GB RAM to be able to play games.
  • Operating System– From requiring iOS 12.0 for being able to play the game, now only iOS 13 and above will be able to play Genshin Impact.

Revised Genshin Impact System Requirements For PlayStation

2025 genshin impact playstation support

Previously, Genshin Impact supported PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4 Slim, PlayStation 4 Pro, and PlayStation 5.

However, with the “Song of the Welkin Moon” version, Genshin Impact will only work with the latest PlayStation 5. I am personally not surprised that Genshin devs are discontinuing support for the PlayStation 4 platform, which is more than a decade old at this point.

Expect better graphics and smoother playback, and experience going into the next region.

Updated Minimum Genshin Impact Support For Xbox

Genshin Impact only went live on the Xbox platform in November 2024, which means it is compatible with the latest Xbox Series X/S platforms. I don’t expect devs to change Genshin Impact requirements for Xbox anytime soon.

Final Thoughts On Changed Genshin Impact Specifications Requirements

If you no longer meet the revised Genshin Impact spec requirement, there is no need to panic in most cases. For most platforms like iOS, Android, or Windows, you should be able to play the games unless Genshin Actively goes out of the way to block the installation outright.

Just make sure you have the appropriate version of Windows, iOS, or Android. Plus, you would only face problems on Windows if you have a very outdated graphics card or outdated Android, Windows, or iOS versions.

However, PlayStation 4 users would need to upgrade to PlayStation 5 to ensure they are able to play the game. Overall, I feel that the revised requirements were just a matter of when, but not if.

Given how graphically intensive each new version is, especially the new traversal mechanics in Natlan. Plus, it seems Characters, too, are more graphically demanding, whether it’s Chasca’s Gun, Mavuika’s Bike, or upcoming Lauma’s deer.
